What you are charged, when, and why the number on your invoice is what it is.
Outbound calls are charged from your prepaid wallet in one-second increments with no connect fee. A 34-second call to the United Kingdom at $0.0085 per minute costs $0.0048.
When the charge appears
Calls are rated shortly after they end, once the call record has been imported from the switch. Your balance therefore lags a live call by a minute or two — this is normal and the pending amount is never lost.
Which rate applies
We match the longest prefix that fits the number you dialled. Dialling +254 7xx xxx xxx matches the 2547 Kenya mobile rate rather than the shorter 254 Kenya fixed rate, because the longer prefix is more specific.
Inbound calls
Calls arriving on your own numbers and delivered to an extension are included in the number's monthly rental. Forwarding an inbound call to an external number creates a second, outbound leg, and that leg is charged at the normal rate.
International dialling on new accounts
New accounts cannot dial international destinations until the first top-up. This is a fraud control, not a sales tactic: stolen SIP credentials are used to dial expensive international ranges, and the block protects both of us. It lifts automatically.
