It is a real PBX, not a simplified imitation

The switch underneath is FusionPBX on FreeSWITCH — the same software carriers and integrators run themselves. What we have built is the operational layer around it: provisioning, billing, a portal a non-specialist can use. If you later outgrow the portal, the capability is already there rather than needing a migration.

Designed so one person can run it

Most small businesses do not have a telephony administrator, and the ones that do would rather not spend their week on it. Adding a person is one form. Changing where a number rings is one dropdown. Setting business hours is a schedule, not a dial plan. Nothing requires reading a manual first.

Where the boundary is

We run the switch, the media servers and the carrier relationships. You control your own dial plan through the portal. If you need something the portal does not expose — a custom routing condition, an unusual integration — ask us, and we will either add it or configure it directly on your tenant.

Questions people actually ask

How many people is this suitable for?

From one to a few hundred extensions. Above that, or with heavy queue traffic, a dedicated tenant makes more sense and we will tell you so rather than let you find out the hard way.

Can staff work from home?

Yes. An extension is not tied to a location — it registers from wherever the device is. That is the main practical difference from a PBX in a cupboard.

Do you support desk phones?

Yes. Yealink, Grandstream, Fanvil and Snom handsets can be auto-provisioned, and any standards-compliant SIP phone can be configured manually.

What about call recording and the law?

The platform can record; whether you may, and whether you must announce it, depends on your jurisdiction and is your responsibility. Recording is off by default for that reason.
