The network
Core sites carry traffic between regions; edge sites terminate registrations close to your devices. The map draws from the same table as the list below, so the picture cannot disagree with the facts.

What runs on it
The switching core is FusionPBX on FreeSWITCH — the same software carriers and integrators deploy themselves. We did not write a proprietary softswitch, and we do not pretend to have. What we built is everything around it: provisioning, rating, billing, and a portal that a non-specialist can operate.
That choice has a consequence worth stating plainly. Because the core is standard, the capabilities are standard too — if you outgrow us, your dial plan concepts move to any other FreeSWITCH or Asterisk platform. We would rather compete on operations than on lock-in.
Failure behaviour
Calls in progress survive a site becoming unreachable, because media is already flowing directly. New calls route to the next available site. Registrations re-establish on the device's next attempt, typically within a minute.
If our provisioning layer is unavailable, the switch keeps switching. Signup and portal changes queue and apply when it returns, which is why the portal tells you a change is "queued" rather than claiming success it cannot confirm.
