Two ways to authenticate

IP authentication is simplest when your PBX has a static address: tell us the address, and calls from it are trusted. Registration authentication suits a PBX on a dynamic connection — it registers to us like a handset would. Registration also survives an address change without a support ticket, which is usually worth the small extra setup.

What we do about toll fraud

A compromised PBX dialling premium international ranges is the single most expensive thing that can happen to a SIP account. We cap concurrent calls, block international destinations until an account has topped up, and rate-limit call attempts per trunk. None of that replaces securing your own PBX, but it bounds the damage while you notice.

Why TLS is worth the extra step

Consumer and small-office routers routinely rewrite unencrypted SIP in ways that break call setup, and the symptom is a registration that drops every few minutes for no visible reason. TLS traffic looks like ordinary HTTPS, so intermediate equipment leaves it alone. It also keeps your call metadata private in transit. If registrations are unstable, switching to TLS on 5061 fixes it more often than anything else.

Questions people actually ask

Which PBX platforms work?

Anything that speaks standard SIP: Asterisk, FreePBX, FusionPBX, 3CX, Yeastar, Grandstream UCM, Issabel, and most hardware gateways. We do not require a vendor-specific module.

Do you charge per channel?

No. You pay for the minutes you use. Concurrent-call limits exist as a fraud control, not as a licensing product, and we raise them on request.

Can I send my own caller ID?

Yes, for any number on your account. Presenting a number you do not control is refused — that is caller ID spoofing and it is illegal in most jurisdictions.

What happens during a network problem?

Calls in progress continue. New calls fail over to the next available point of presence. If your PBX is unreachable, inbound calls follow the failover destination you set on the number.
